Your mission will be to craft compelling narratives that resonate with potential funders, articulating the impact of our projects and securing the financial resources vital for our continued success. • Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporations.
  • Develop persuasive grant proposals that align with funder priorities and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with program managers to gather project information and data for grant applications.
  • Manage grant writing timelines and ensure timely submission of proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records of grant applications and awards.
  • Write reports for funders on the progress and impact of funded projects.
  • Stay informed about current trends in grant writing and fundraising.

Our Commitment to You: Expertise That Matters to Us

  • Proven track record of securing grant funding from diverse sources.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify relevant funding opportunities.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with grant writing best practices and guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passion for community development and civic engagement.

Your Impact: The Ideal Fit

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of three years of professional grant writing experience, ideally within the non-profit sector. A bachelor's degree in English, communications, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with the Louisville philanthropic landscape and local community needs is a significant plus.

Civic Engagement Perks

We offer a competitive contract rate commensurate with experience. This hybrid role allows for a blend of in-office teamwork and remote flexibility. You’ll have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the Louisville community by supporting impactful programs that address critical needs. Be part of a passionate team dedicated to creating positive change through community revitalization and engagement. Further develop your fundraising skill set while building a professional portfolio of impactful grant projects.
